Allied Physical Therapy Expands into Elkhart
Allied Physical Therapy is expanding its practice to Elkhart, starting with a focus on women’s therapy. Melissa Gutierrez, a licensed physical therapist, has begun to see patients in the RiverPointe Medical Office Building at 500 Arcade Ave., Suite 320, Elkhart.
Gutierrez specializes in women’s health issues. Along with general physical therapy, her practice focuses on treating pelvic pain, pre and postnatal musculoskeletal dysfunctions associated with pregnancy, urinary/fecal incontinence, pelvic floor therapy and osteoporosis care. She has been practicing for 10 years. Her training in women’s health therapy was received from the American Physical Therapy Association’s section on Women’s Health and the Herman Wallace Institute. With pelvic floor disorders commonly affecting 1 in 3 women in their lifetime, Allied Physical Therapy is eager to provide women with relief from these conditions.
