Job Description

General Job Duties:

  1. Greets patients and escorts them from the waiting room to the exam room. Prepares patients for exam or treatment per each physician’s protocols.
  2. Prepares equipment and assists physician during examinations and treatment.
  3. Administers prescribed medications and injections, monitors patients’ vital signs and assists with in-office procedures, rendering professional care for the comfort and well-being of each patient.
  4. Schedules patients for tests and handles outgoing referrals as ordered per physician.
  5. Directs lab and pathology results and clinical reports to physician for review and treatment plan, communicating plan to patients as requested by physician.
  6. Provides patient education and counseling as necessary, answering patients’ questions and concerns within the limits dictated by each physician.
  7. Enters patient demographic and patient history into computer as necessary.
  8. Observes and maintains records on patients’ care, condition, reaction and progress.
  9. Answers triage calls, prioritizing assignments based on patient acuity.
  10. Maintains patient confidentiality, complying with HIPAA and all guidelines established by the practice.
  11. Maintains detailed knowledge of EMR and other computer software as it relates to job functions
  12. Attends training programs as required
  13. Attends department and all staff meetings
  14. Performs other duties as assigned

Job Requirements: Certification from an accredited Medial Assistant program required. 2+ years of experience as a CMA preferred; knowledge of medical terminology required. Must have strong written and verbal communication skills, be highly motivated and have a neat, professional appearance and behavior.

Job Description

General Job Duties:

  1. Greets patients or others arriving for appointments in a prompt, courteous manner and provides directions as appropriate.
  2. Obtains, verifies, and updates patient information in EMR
  3. Coordinates patient and visitor flow.
  4. Receives payments to post to patient accounts. Balances checks, cash and credit cards daily and prepares daily bank deposit.
  5. Schedules return appointments.
  6. Enters recall letters for return appointments
  7. Answers phone calls, taking accurate and appropriate messages
  8. Calls patients to reschedule for physician emergencies
  9. Prepares schedule for next day appointments
  10. Ensures practice is open daily and closed at the end of office hours.

Job Description

General Job Duties:

  1. Interacts daily with physicians, support staff, and patients to resolve problems as they occur.
  2. Supervises, mentors and develops Division employees to successfully meet their job requirements.
  3. If needed, initiates disciplinary action based on guidelines in employee handbook. Works with the Human Resources department and/or legal counsel, when appropriate.
  4. Directs the Division toward successful completion/implementation of strategic goals as determined with Division Physicians and in alignment company strategy.
  5. Participates in various committees, including, but not limited to, Benefits, Contracting, Marketing, and Credentials.
  6. Collaborates with Administrative Office for credentialing with payors.
  7. In coordination with Finance, develops of an annual Division budget. Monitors the monthly actual result against budget and makes adjustments/recommendations where necessary.
  8. Oversees the day to day operations of the Division, including but not limited to management of the physical facility.
  9. Reviews financial statements and distributes physician draws and bonuses for Division. If needed, makes recommendations in coordination with Finance regarding these distributions.
  10. In coordination with the Compliance Officer, serves as Division HIPAA Privacy Officer, ensuring patient privacy is protected and employees are adhering to the practice policy.
  11. Collaborates with Administrative Office for coordination of annual chart audit with the external consultant and subsequent review with physicians.
  12. Manages Division processes for optimum efficiency and employee production.
  13. Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements: Minimum three years medical practice management or related experience required, four years preferred; excellent communication skills; business-related degree preferred.

Job Description

General Job Duties:

  1. Schedules and coordinates all surgeries, pre-operative testing and appointments for physicians as appropriate
  2. Communicates all necessary information to appropriate physicians, staff and hospital/surgery center.
  3. Confirms all insurance eligibility and benefits of patient
  4. Obtains necessary prior approval for surgery to be performed
  5. Obtains all necessary surgical release forms as required
  6. Maintains patient confidentiality; complies with HIPAA and compliance guidelines established by the company
  7. Maintains detailed knowledge of EMR and other computer software as it relates to job functions
  8. Attends training programs as required
  9. Attends department and all staff meetings
  10. Performs other duties as assigned

Job Requirements: Demonstrates verbal and written English skills to facilitate communication with patients, physicians and other employees. Must be proficient with computers; 1-2 years surgery scheduling experience; knowledge of medical terminology and experience with electronic medical records required. Knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 codes preferred. Must have strong written and verbal communication skills, be highly motivated and have a neat, professional appearance and behavior.
