Job Description

General Job Duties:

  1. Greets patients and escorts them from the waiting room to the exam room. Prepares patients for exam or treatment per each physician’s protocols.
  2. Prepares equipment and assists physician during examinations and treatment.
  3. Administers prescribed medications and injections, monitors patients’ vital signs and assists with in-office procedures, rendering professional care for the comfort and well-being of each patient.
  4. Schedules patients for tests and handles outgoing referrals as ordered per physician.
  5. Directs lab and pathology results and clinical reports to physician for review and treatment plan, communicating plan to patients as requested by physician.
  6. Provides patient education and counseling as necessary, answering patients’ questions and concerns within the limits dictated by each physician.
  7. Enters patient demographic and patient history into computer as necessary.
  8. Observes and maintains records on patients’ care, condition, reaction and progress.
  9. Answers triage calls, prioritizing assignments based on patient acuity.
  10. Maintains patient confidentiality, complying with HIPAA and all guidelines established by the practice.
  11. Maintains detailed knowledge of EMR and other computer software as it relates to job functions
  12. Attends training programs as required
  13. Attends department and all staff meetings
  14. Performs other duties as assigned

Job Requirements: Certification from an accredited Medial Assistant program required if working as a CMA. Graduate of a LPN program with current state license if working as a LPN. Graduate of a RN program with current state license if working as a RN. 2+ years of experience as a CMA, LPN or RN preferred; knowledge of medical terminology required. Must have strong written and verbal communication skills, be highly motivated and have a neat, professional appearance and behavior.

  2. Assists physician in providing care for the comfort and well-being of patients.
  3. Takes vitals, blood pressure, pulse and temperature of patients
  4. Obtains patient chief complaint and current medications
  5. Provides patient education
  6. Schedules allergy testing, obtains prior authorization and verification of benefits when needed
  7. Administers allergy injections
  8. Performs prick testing
  9. Completes allergy questionnaire with patients
  10. Mixes antigen for allergy injections
  11. Recognizes early onset of anaphylactic reaction
  12. Prepares exam rooms
  13. Cleans and sterilizes equipment

Job Requirements: Must have a strong background in allergy. Certification from an accredited Medial Assistant program required if working as a CMA. Graduate of a LPN program with current state license if working as a LPN. Graduate of a RN program with current state license if working as a RN. Knowledge of CPT coding and ICD-10 codes, knowledge of practice management and word processing software, knowledge of insurance and managed care plan basics, strong written and verbal communication skills required. General Job Duties:

Job Requirements: Due to the nature of this position, we are seeking a male Nurse Practitioner. BSN, MSN preferred. Successful completion of an approved nurse practitioner program. Current state license. Current training in urology preferred. Minimum of three years of professional nursing experience in a clinic setting plus two years of nurse practitioner experience. Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices and regulations to give and evaluate patient care, use medical equipment and instruments to administer patient care and common safety hazards and precautions to establish/maintain a safe work environment. Skill in applying and modifying the principles, methods and techniques of professional nursing to provide ongoing patient care and taking medical histories to assess medical condition and interpret findings. The ability to maintain quality control standards, react calmly and effectively in emergency situations, interpret, adapt and apply guidelines and procedures and communicate clearly and establish/maintain effective working relationships with patients, medical staff and the public.
